About Me
In the vibrant cultural landscape of Jaipur—the fabled “Gem City” of India—H. N. Ghiya has emerged as a quiet yet compelling voice, devoted to uncovering stories that often remain unseen.
This journey is an ever-evolving exploration of India’s artistic soul—spanning traditional, modern, contemporary, colonial, tribal, folk, and outsider art forms. Each work is not merely an object, but a narrative—of time, place, and the boundless depth of human imagination.
Founded in 1984 and rooted in a rich artistic legacy, my journey was shaped in the inspiring presence of my father, the legendary Late Shri Badri Narayan Gupta, a distinguished art dealer in Jaipur since the 1960s. His pioneering work in miniature paintings and Pichwai art laid the foundation for what has become a lifelong pursuit of discovery, preservation, and connoisseurship.
Over the decades, I have contributed to significant private and institutional collections, building enduring relationships with collectors, scholars, designers, and art enthusiasts across the world. The collection has grown to encompass not only paintings, but also heirloom textiles, vintage photographs, prints, drawings, metalwork, and ceramic art—each piece thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on authenticity and narrative depth.
I invite you to explore this journey through the website, as well as on Instagram, Facebook, and Amazon.in. For those in search of the rare and exceptional, a curated selection of collectible books is also available on Biblio.com.
